Program Overview

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is designed to nurture students and help them build and enhance their managerial and leadership competencies. The comprehensively structured programme helps students to:

• understand the social, economic, political, technological, and ecological environment of the modern-day society and its characteristic values
• become effective leaders to achieve results beyond expectations and transform organizations
• engage in creative thinking, prompting them to generate innovative answers, devise alternative solutions, and cultivate entrepreneurial skills.<
• imbibe values of integrity, justice, and fairness to help them promote and maintain high ethical standards in management
• develop a global mindset to enable them meet the challenges arising out of international competition

The PGDM curriculum design and pedagogy emphasizes the development of students’ skills and abilities to apply management theories and concepts to practical problems of the business-world and industries. Pedagogy is ‘learning centric’ and not ‘teaching centric’. It is interactive and participative, involving fieldwork, case studies, business games, role-plays, simulation exercises, group discussions, experiential exercises, film reviews, application of concepts, structured and unstructured group work, and hands-on projects with the industry. Students are expected to achieve high standards of excellence. The emphasis is on involving the students in learning and helping them relate concepts and theories to business realities.

The initial three trimesters focus on fostering a comprehensive understanding of fundamental concepts in various functional areas, delivering an integrated learning experience. This phase includes mandatory core courses spanning diverse management functions. The subsequent two trimesters, Fourth and Fifth Trimesters, concentrate on elective courses tailored to students' areas of specialization
